    Filthy property, Bird crap everywhere and vomit in the pool. No one came to remove the vomit or treat the water. I almost vomited when I saw someone swim right into it. The utter lack of customer service and blatant discrimination is sickening. Booked via Expedia who forwarded the booking to VRBO who Did Absolutely Nothing to help. Sent my requests to the people behaving like animals. Here's my show and tell of "Pictures of My Summer Vacation"
    I've spent the last 5 days in a row being lied to by customer service. The property owner promised a refund of 50% but say the other portion come from Vrbo Beyond that one time he refuse to respond. Vrbo says it up to the property manager and refuse to take no action or responsibility. No matter when I call the supervisor is always on another call which is a lie because it's their immediate reply without checking. Save your money and avoid using them, it's at your own risk because if god forbid something happens to your family they will not care at all.
    VRBO has failed to pitch in on this pandemic crisis! They are allowing home owners to refuse refunds when beaches are closing, travel restrictions in place. Our family lost $1800 and many other families are losing with no regard! Air BNB stepped up and made sure their travellers we're refunded. I will never book VRBO again!
    Property owner cancelled our reservation while we were en route, the day of check in. VRBO gave me a number to their "same day booking department". So I'm thinking they'll help us find another rental. Well, the number is for expedia. I guess vrbo/home away/expedia are all the same company. They wanted to put me in a hotel for 2 days, at my expense. That's it. I ended up booking something in another town, at a higher cost, and am losing two days vacation. Unbelievable. Last time ever using this company.
    I would give less than 1 star if possible. Got stranded in Tampa after owner of property was a no show and did not provide access. Vrbo Service was atrocious. Spent more than 7 hours on the phone over several days trying to resolve the issue. No other homes available (with a washer-dryer) in our area. Offered us to go to Clearwater for an additional charge. So we stayed in a hotel - 2 adults and 2 kids with two double beds in one room. Do not recommend Vrbo.
    Just reserved a place at Lake Weir Florida, 2 weeks out, paid for it, then 2 days later got cancelled, no reason what -so -ever. Can only assume it was about money where someone renting before us or behind us were paying more. The owner stated he refunded my money. Also, I bought a travel policy. Also, rented a place in Glendale Az, got there, then the landlord changes my reservation resulting in my renting a hotel room. I called VRBO, they will tell you, they cannot do anything for you. I am done with them!
    Stay away from this place(761, Jacques-Bédard; Quebec G2N 1E1). The owner will charge you for damages that you didn't even do and with these website not protecting travelers its an easy scam for them! I tried to work with VRBO support to get this sorted out with the owner of the property as I'm not getting any response from the owner but traveler's support is none existent, there is no way for you to dispute their easy money scheme! Stay away from that address and VRBO! You've been warned!
    We booked our reservation in September 2019. Heard nothing from the owner since then. I even questioned him about the 30 rental law that went into effect over the summer. I was assured there wouldn't be any problem and today he cancelled my reservation using the coronavirus as the reason. WTF Hawaii isn't even having an outbreak there. VRBO with their limited English speaking reps told me he would not be allowed to cancel and even sent me a basic email. But I just received the cancellation notice. Do not rent from this guy!
    Booked our get away thru VRBO in Madeira Beach Florida. The owner puts on a good face in the add but is anything but when contacted. When we first reached out regarding our reservation he responded with there's no reservation under that name, when provided with the rental information proof he responded contact VRBO not his problem. Even changed the add for the property, His new add states they are "open" for business during the pandemic. Of course they are but nothing else is. Just want to steal your money!     Beware that the owner/host can cancel your reservation at anytime with minimal penalty. I just had a Florida monthly winter vacation rental on Sanibel Island canceled this morning by the owner because the owner wanted to use the rental. Now there is nothing affordable left. The only thing VRBO will do is assess penalty points to the owner. I'm very disappointed.
    VRBO is just a platform for private home owners to reach potential short term renters. Their fee is outrageous but they do nothing beyond host he platform. The system is rigged for the host. Customer service depends on the host. Our experience was terrible. And there isn't anything we can do. We will never use this site again!
    I spent hours reviewing properties and finally selected one. It gave specific instructions for scoring the deal advertised, so I messaged the "host" to double-check the instructions. He responded, telling me that he had sold the property, so I would have to contact the new owner if I wanted to rent it. But VRBO would not allow him to give me the number. VRBO also refused to take down or correct the listing, saying that they would instead just wait until it eventually expired.
    Avoid. This. Site. They don't really care to make sure that the places being rented are legitimately as they described. Most people will try and advertise house rooms, with complete strangers living in it, as "house rentals." Unless you want to get crammed into a house, where you're stuck with complete strangers, and have it be sprung up on you last second that there's false advertising going on. Avoid this site and save your money. Was a complete and utter waste of my time and money. Will avoid them in the future, that's for certain.
    Vrbo.com and their Property Owner #1677188 are taking peoples hard earned money and refusing refunds other than Vrbo.com's booking fees. I'm out $2,100 because they don't feel the need to take any responsibility in this COVID-19 crisis where we are all trying to pay our bills. The fact is, they received my money in August 2019 for a April 2020 trip that I never got (or will get) to take. Same story as all these other suckers. I hope they are aware of karma.
    4530 Bayshore blvd NE, St Petersburg Fl, first week of June 2021. It was dirty, dust, dirt, spiders and hair collected in corners, floors needed mopping, outside had mold and mildew, and entrance was cluttered and had many dead plants. Mattress as dirty and stained badly. Cockroaches and centipedes ran in some rooms. In need of repairs kitchen faucet fell apart, tiles in shower loose and came off, holes in ceiling, appears from water leak. Unsafe piles of building materials about the property. Only positive was convenience of the pool. VRBO or owner/whomever dropped the ball wont use VRBO. Do not recommend VRBO or this property.
    This company needs serious competition. If there were others, they'd be out of business quickly. Total abuse of customers on both ends, both home owners and travelers. "The company is experiencing high call volume" has been playing 24/7 for months. STAFF UP! Stop wasting customers time because you're cheap b----tards and don't want to pay staff. Horrific. I hope there's a government investigation of this company for their abusive policies.
    Vrbo won't refund your reservation if you cancel because of the corona virus. I even purchases travel insurance and they refused. Breckinridge Colorado is shutting down ski resort; restaurants and stores and they still think I should show up. Summit county is also considering not letting anyone enter the county. Shame on vrbo. I will never use them again. Air bnb a better choice, their policies have been very ptoactive during this crisis.
    If you have any trouble with the platform, hosts, or the review process whatsoever, don't expect to receive help via VRBO's customer service call/chat options. They will copy/paste part of the company policy and hang up on you. Hard to think of another company that would tolerate operating with such an exceptionally poor customer experience.
    They cancelled a confirmed reservation that I made because it was the host's birthday, seriously?!? Who does this? Now I can't get a refund as they charged me immediately but not won't refund nor respond. The worst customer service anywhere. I will NEVER do business with them and recommend nobody else do business with them either. I cannot believe this has happened this way. Don't risk your money, book anywhere else!
    Had to cancel VRBO booking due to COVID-19 issues. Homeowner and VRBO stated we would receive 100% refund within 5-7 days. It took 18 days for partial refund and they are still holding over $230 in fees and taxes. Have talked with them 5 times on phone and 4 times via e-mail to home owner to No Avail. This is a complete Rip-Off and Scam to keep our money! Will Never use VRBO or Home Away in the future! Beware!
    I rented a home for a month. The host never provided check in details. I called vrbo who mentioned this was the second fraudulent offense by the host. On the day of my rental, as you have to pass check in time, I still had no details for getting in. Vrbo offered me three nights in a 2-star hotel, offered to refund my 2k+ and refused to rebook. Now, new job, no place to stay, and the house is STILL listed on vrbo. Hearing, "I'm so sorry for your frustration " is b. S. customer service. Beware vrbo.
    Before booking this rental, look at the photos the VBRO listing doesn't show: holes in walls, rusty chairs, wires hanging, curtain rod with no curtians, scraps on walls, mirror off the wall, repairs not completed, dust and paint on fake plant, pocket doors don't close, missing blinds so the ability to see inside front bedroom, food explosion in microwave not cleaned, dust and debris throughout, disorganized cabinets with food left from previous tentants. Definitely not worth $1296. 59 for 4 nights!
    I booked a trip in November 2019 to travel to Boston, NYC and Niagara Falls in April of 2020 (curse my luck lol). Neither VRBO schedule will reschedule, respond, or refund. VRBO gave me a case number, because since they are not cancelling, VRBO will not credit the service fees back either. The case number has proven pointless. I will be filing formal complaints. I will never ever book through VRBO again.
    Do not, under any circumstance, use VRBO rentals. They cancelled our spring vacation plans to Myrtle Beach, after reserving and paying for our vacation 2 months ago. VRBO refused to give any compensation towards other rentals now that all other options are much more expensive.     VRBO has terrible customer service, even for property hosts. They penalize you for the most ridiculous things. They farm out the customer service call centers to third world countries, with a basic grasp of the English language, which is fine, but makes communication that much more difficult. The fees they charge to both travelers and hosts are exorbitant. The other World Famous vacation home rental business is MUCH better in all aspects: fees, customer service, etc. Don't use VRBO.
