For many years I do use CleanMyMac now and I'm very satisfied. I do use latest version 4. 2. 1 and I love it. If I do have problems with e.g. my memory or whatsoever, I start this programme. Gemini (also from MacPaw) is not my favourite programme, simply because I don't need it. I can advice CMM.I paid for the service. They tried to bill me before the contract was up 4 months prior and then turned me off because I didn't pay it. They are a scam. The folks that take up the billing is Paddle. Both do not do anything to help reinstate the situation. They get back with complicated instructions to reinstate while you have already paid. Not worth the money or effort to deal with them. I just removed the software and will go else where.There is no cancel subscription option, so they really try to rebill you. To avoid this, I had to find their email and write "Please cancel my subscription for XXX. Do not rebill for the next year." Christine responded with a 30% off offer. I repeated my demand. Christine gave me a complex solution in iTunes, then instead of following up to verify it was cancelled, she wrote: "We didn't receive a reply from you, therefore we assume that things are going great" This is the same stunt internet fax and other companies try, and it's old and embarrassing because legitiamate companies make it simple to cancel. But the biggest reason not to but this software is that it does a very sloppy job deleting duplicates, and I am going to have to reclean my 12 TB of data from the originals because this program deleted so many of the files in the process leaving empty folders. DO NOT BUY.Their legal situation is confusing at best, the name of the software is Gemini, but they send emails under the name MacPaw and the payment they require with Paypal is to yet another company. They don't send an invoice. They charge your Paypal account for an amount higher than mentioned on their website They don't provide their legal address. The software bugs and can only be used once. Unfriendly customer service. They provide two different legal addresses.A NIGHTMARE! A nightmare! Was free and worked well. Then changed so it was no longer free and you had to upgrade. Paid for the upgrade as found it useful. The upgrade added photos and itunes search and who knows what else. Totally failed and crashed my hard drive! It now restarts on its own every 20 or so minutes. Contacted the company and they blamed me and we not helpful and continue to sell this VERY BAD PRODUCT! Blamaed the victum. Not that I wanted it but did not even offer to return my money or send me a working copy of the original program, which is no longer available. DO NOT USE.
